A Day's Work

I did not move from my bed for about the next 20 minutes. Mother had woken me up before the first sunrays could reach the veranda. I realised that I had no other choice as she ordered me to get ready in the next 5 minutes. Reluctant to even put the tip of my finger I hurriedly mopped my face with water and put on a mis-matched kurta-pyjama.

My house is located in a backward area of Uttar Pradesh. Facilities such as tap water, electricity, etc. were not available. Though we had rich harvest almost every year, the task of making wheat into flour was a difficult one. We had to carry the entire stock of wheat to a distant village. A chakki was required to make flour out of wheat, and it was not available in our village.

My parents were farmers, they had other chores to care of. So, it was I who has to go with some other people of our locality and change wheat into flour.

Reluctantly, I picked up the wheat sacks and started stacking them on the boggy, a neighbour had agreed to take me with him. And thus we headed towards the other village. It was very hot, and there was hardly anyone who had a watch. It seemed like ages. Finally we reached our destination. BUT, no electricity. So, we had to wait. When it did come I was too excited and worried. Perched near the machine, looking closely that not even a single grain was wasted as it was my parents' instructions. I felt more scared than responsible. Then suddenly I was dragged along a pipe that was attached to the machine. It felt as though I was taken in by a huge flesh eating monster. All sort of weird thoughts started swimming in my mind- I could be crippled- before the next thought I could be dead! But as suddenly it had started, it stopped. I was on all fours, panting with fear, unable to move- thinking that ONE movement could take away my precious life. It was kind of funny when I finally realised that the machine had stopped and I was as good as new.

By the time my work was done and I  had come over my nervous-excitement it was quite late. Anyway we started our journey back home. It had been one of the very long days and I did not want any further adventure. I slept the whole way back in the cool breeze of the night.

Thanks To You

'M fine
Thanks to you.

I eat
I talk
I sleep
I survive
Thanks to you.

BUT
As I walk today
On the Highway
searching
for a way
by the way on which
I will stumble upon
someday,
I feel
a feeling I cannot apprehend.
I feel happy, for sure
I feel unsure
too.
A question
keeps buzzing
Am I really happy?
Or
is it yet another illusion?
Which creats confusion!

But yes
I know
I HAVE to be happy
content, high on spirits
as superfluous things
make everything
abysmal.

So,
'M fortunate
to have
whatever I have.

And for all this
I
thank you
the Angel above
guiding my life
and fighting my
obnoxious self.

Dear Angel,
Thanks to you
I survive
that too,
as good luck would have it.

One Love :))

Well people have the ability to love loads of things, people, etc. And in that case I am NORMAL!!I love loads of things...and my list is ENDLESS! So in short I love ALmost EVERYthing in this world! Just a small example before I start off with the main topic, I don't understand how people say that they like this movie or that movie, I mean I like ALL movies I watch, after all movies(except the REALLY bad ones, of course) have their bads and goods...right?I like something or the other about every movie and DON'T like certain things about them as well; take the example of the movie i
watched for the 100th time today THE "DDLJ"!!I mean its SUCH A MELODRAMATIC movie. I hate the way that mother keeps on tell her poor daughter(Simran) that she'll have to sacrifice her happiness and all the crap ALL the time- JUST BECAUSE she is a GIRL !!for god sake! I just can't take that shit! AND the famous K-K-K-K-K-Kiran style of SRK it irritates me BIG TIME! But then this movie is SO beautifully picturised i just can't help watching it again and again!

I hope the point is clear now. :)

I've always loved animals as a mater of fact even insects(that is how weird I can be)!But to confronting them has always been difficult for me. Everyone loves some animal or other, most like dogs, others lions-tigers-leopards-and many other. And 'm NO different in this case! I love the smallest member of the cat family!

CATS! I now some people think cats aren't good. So I'd like to advise 'these' people that just go try and become friends with them and you'll realise how lovable the are!

I'll tell you through my own experience. My relatives have ALWAYS had cats as pets and whenever I went to meet them I used to ask them to PLEASE keep them away from me. I was SO scared of them!I never tried to even go and say a simple hello to them! And then one day my mum got a li'l kitten home! I completely fell in love with him (Chilli, A he-cat). I couldn't help it! And now that he is gone he has taught me all animals are special, it's just US who make them 'seem' scary! He became one of the loves in my life and probably the one I claim to love more than ANYBODY (yes! more than I love my parents)! THIS is Chilli:

All I want to convey through this post is that every animal has feelings, don't drive them away, they just want love which WE have in abundance to give but don't give due to our selfishness and meanness. And 'M telling you your loving them is not a waste as animals can be humans BEST friend...they'll love you UNCONDITIONALLY, without question, without doubt, and without reasoning! They'll JUST love you!

[P.S. :The first two photos are of my relative's cats (Patloo and Saadhu).]
[P.P.S. : I love load of other things as well, just to add, for example chocolates, cakes, ice-creams, watermelons, walnut brownies, the word 'FREAKING', Ron Weasley, Edward Cullen, movies(as one must have guessed by now), etc...etc..etc. ]

The color "BLUE"

Blue is calming. It can be strong and steadfast or light and friendly. Almost everyone likes some shade of the color blue. While blue has different symbolic meanings, individual reactions to the color blue can vary widely.

Nature of Blue:

A natural color, from the blue of the sky, blue is a universal color. The cool, calming effect of blue makes time pass more quickly and it can help you sleep. Blue is a good color for bedrooms. However, too much blue could dampen spirits.

Culture of Blue:

In many diverse cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs, brings peace, or is believed to keep the bad spirits away.

Blue conveys importance and confidence without being somber or sinister, hence the blue power suit of the corporate world and the blue uniforms of police officers. Long considered a corporate color, blue, especially darker blue, is associated with intelligence, stability, unity, and conservatism.

Just as seeing red alludes to the strong emotions invoked by the color red, feeling blue or getting the blues represents the extremes of the calm feelings associated with blue, i.e. sadness or depression, lack of strong (violent) emotion. Dark blue is sometimes seen as staid or stodgy — old-fashioned.

In Iran, blue is the color of mourning while in the West the something blue bridal tradition represents love.

Using Blue:

A deep royal blue or azure conveys richness and perhaps even a touch of superiority. Navy blue is almost black and is a bit warmer than lighter blues. Combine a light and dark blue to convey trust and truthfulness — banker's colors. Although blue is a year-round color, pastel blues, especially along with pinks and pale yellows suggest Springtime while deep blue is a colder weather color. Create a conservative but sophisticated look with subtle contrast by combining light and dark shades of blue.

Mix the color of blue with green for a natural, watery palette. Add gray for understated elegance.

Sky blue and robin's egg blue, especially when combined with neutral light brown, tans, or beige are environmentally friendly color combinations.

Throw in a dash of blue to cool down a hot red or orange scheme. Grab attention with the contrast of blue and yellow.Dark blue with white is fresh, crisp, and nautical. Red, white, and blue is a patriotic color trio for many countries, including the United States.

Use dark blue with metallic silver accents for an elegantly rich appearance.

Feng-Shui use of the blue color

Blue is a magnificent feng shui color. It ranges from gentle aqua blue to the blue-green of the ocean to the deep indigo blue of the crown chakra. In feng shui, we associate blue with the clear sky and the healing, refreshing waters. It is excellent for use in the feng shui areas of East (Health & Family) and Southeast (Wealth & Abundance) of your space, as Water energy nourishes the Wood element of these two areas. Bring it in the form of wall color, art, or decor items.

Gentle blue is an excellent feng shui choice for study, especially as a ceiling color. Several studies have shown that children performed better under the blue-colored ceiling then under the regular white one.

Light blue is also the feng shui color of harmonious expansion and gentle growth, while darker blue evokes the feng shui energy of deep calm and serenity. Depending on your feng shui priorities, you might want to introduce some deep blue elements into your bedroom to promote better sleep or a gentle playful aqua in the living room of a big, busy family.

Deep blue should be used sparingly in the feng shui areas of South, Northwest and West areas of your space, and freely in the North, East and Southeast. One of the most calming feng shui combinations is the combination of the blue and white colors, as it brings the energy of unlimited sky and happiness to one's space.

^^Father^^

Today m gonna try and write on one of the most difficult topics in the entire universe!

FATHER

It's not happened once or twice...but keeps on happening every now and then. When I was younger I use to tease my sister that mama loves me more than her, and she used to get really pissed off. I never even cared what papa might be thinking. Well this must be the case when I was around 8-9 of age, today I feel like my dad is the only person who will listen when I want to talk to someone...obviously not about a crush or boyfriend...but other matters...you know matters like why does mum has to be SO strict??Why does di have to be so rude at times?...things like why are people in this world so indifferent?? Hope you got the point.

Recently my father went out for a trip for 10 days, I was happy that I'll get some freedom, no one will stop me from doing what I wanna do...and had already made SO many plans...but within a day I was desperately wanting to just see him! And then these 10 days started to seem so god damn lousy!

Over and above my father keeps on telling me not to get attached to him, and when I ask for a reason he simply says your mother loves you, so go love her why are you wasting your love on ME?....and I get SO pissed off with this stupid reply that I simply say to him...whatever dad!

Fathers' never tell us how much they love us, its not that a father doesn't love his kids or a father loves his daughter more or a mother loves her son more...all parents love their kids equally...it's us who increase the distances...and that too what for...for some stupid thing called EGO!! I read this really nice thought somewhere "If we drop our ego our lives will get released from tension." This thought gets implied her as well! As for teenagers today, well those I know of (most of them ,that is), their parents are their worst enemy! It's high time they realized the truth!

'M posting some thoughts I found really touching.....

  • He didn't tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.
  • A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.
  • Father! - to God himself we cannot give a holier name.
  • One father is more than a hundred School-masters.
  • A father is always making his baby into a little woman. And when she is a woman he turns her back again.
  • Any man can be a father. It takes someone special to be a dad.

The greatest gift I ever had

Came from God; I call him Dad!
-ME

[P.S. : what really made me realize this truth, though known it forever, but to bring it to the surface was movie.......which I'v already seen for 1000 times...and still can watch it...Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham]
